WordPress Installation

    Upload the plugin

    In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the downloaded zip file.

    Activate the plugin

    Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin once the upload completes.

    Open plugin settings

    Navigate to Settings → Launch SEO Cloud in your WordPress admin sidebar.

    Verify the install

    Confirm that the plugin status shows Active and no error notices are displayed on the settings page.

Connect to Launch SEO Cloud

    Add your site

    In your Launch SEO Cloud dashboard, go to Sites → Add Siteand enter your site's domain name.

    Generate an API key

    On the site detail page, click Generate API Key. Copy the key — it will only be shown once.

    Enter the API key in WordPress

    Paste the API key into the API Key field on the plugin settings page and click Save Settings.

    Confirm connection

    The plugin settings page will display a Connected status badge. Your first health ping will appear in the dashboard within 60 seconds.

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

The plugin reports a connection failure on save.

  • Verify the API key was copied in full and contains no extra spaces.
  • Confirm the domain registered in Launch SEO Cloud matches the domain of the WordPress site exactly.
  • Check that your server can reach outbound HTTPS (port 443) to the Launch SEO Cloud API endpoint.
  • Ensure the API key has not been revoked in the dashboard.

Health Pings Not Appearing

The site shows as connected but health data is missing.

  • Health pings are sent on a schedule via WordPress cron. Verify WordPress cron is not disabled (check wp-config.php for DISABLE_WP_CRON).
  • Trigger a manual ping from the plugin settings page using the Send Test Ping button.
  • Check the plugin's debug log under Settings → Launch SEO Cloud → Logs for error details.
  • Allow up to 5 minutes after the first successful ping for data to appear in the dashboard.
